Christmas shadowbox

I have been hoarding this shadowbox for a few years and finally an idea hit me to use it. I used a lot of Tim Holtz dies and products. The tiney little cardinal was cut using the TH cardinal die with shrink plastic. The snow was made using texture paste and distress glitter.

Birthday card

This had some scraplifted ideas I found on pinterest. Sorry for the bad lighting.

I wasn't feeling the technique used for the focal image so I did my own and water colored the Tim Holtz leaf stamp and then cut it out and dipped it in UTEE.

Haunted House

I had a lot of fun making this haunted house.  I started off with some cardstock that had a wood grain print on it and then embossed it with Tim Holtz wood plank embossing folder and then sponged on some distress inks. I didn’t have the rooftop die so I had to be creative and got out my rosette die and used it as the roof top.

I painted a plain wood plaque with black soot paint and when that was dry I put globs of glue onto it and place the moss on top.  The fence was made using the on the fence die that I then colored in with pumice stone paint and while still wet sprinkled on pumice stone embossing powder and heat set.  I also used the same technique on the tree (Tim Holtz die). The bats were from the Halloween Shadows die and the graveyard also. I used the mini scaredy cat die and mini pumpkin die and cut them with shrink dinks and after they shrank I painted them with distress paints. A whole lot of Tim products were used here.

I can’t wait to start on a Christmas house.

Easter

For this flip frame card I used Prima Royal Menagerie paper for the base and I then used ranger transparent embossing paste and a Tim Holtz stencil to add a little texture/dimension to the paper. I then cut out the bunny from the Easter elements die with grunge board and applied some walnut distress ink and embossing powder. The bow was cut out of canvas and painted with distress paint. I also used a Tim Holtz border die and Tim Holtz trimmings ribbon. The letters for Easter are also from Tim Holtz.

I wanted to go with a St. Patrick's theme for this month's tag. I made the clover using Tim Holtz movers and shapers heart along with his mixed media die. I tried out my Ranger Patina paints on a plain silver label embellishment.

dinosaur card

I let my niece choose the theme and colors she wanted her birthday card and she chose dinosaurs and the colors green, yellow, purple and red. I hope she like is it. I used stamps from the No Bones about it stamp set from Stampin Up.

Take Pride card

This is a going away card I made for my boss. I used the Tim Holtz bird and honeycomb dies. The paper I used was the Kaleidoscope from Kaisercraft and the stamp is from TAC.

12 Tags of 2016- January

I didn't have the frosted crystal embossing powder so I experimented with some of my other powders and ended up using Pumice Stone embossing powder, turned out pretty good if I may say so myself. :-)

Birthday card

I made this card for my dad. I used the technique Tim Holtz used on his November 2016 tag with the linen stamp. I loved how this technique turned out when I made my November tag and wanted to use it again. This time I used Picket Fence paint to stamp the linen background with and then sprayed it with Blueprint Sketch distress spray. The end result gave it a denim look. I am happy with how it turned out. Also used were Tim Holtz mini clock die, chit chat stickers, mixed media die, Tim Holtz simple saying happy birthday stamp and clock face, postage stamp frame die, and game spinners.

Birthday Cards

The design for these cards aren't my original idea as I used a card I found on pinterest for my template. I used the Sizzix banners dies.
